Between an exceptionally busy couple of weeks in work, and a number of other things taking up my time, it has been a hectic couple of weeks in my world. However, one of the nicer events taking up my time was Belfast Fashion Week. I have been attending Belfast Fashion Week religiously for two years (and four seasons), and absolutely love to see their catwalk shows.
Belfast Fashion Week is always a gorgeously glam event, with attendees looking just as stylish as those on the catwalk. So, with this in mind, I raided my wardrobe for some fab outfits for the occasion.
This year, to celebrate their tenth anniversary, Belfast Fashion Week kicked off their week of style with a completely new event. In collaboration with Odyssey Cinemas, the week started with a charity screening of Mean Girls, which was also celebrating its ten-year anniversary, with proceeds being donated to local charity Pretty n Pink, whose founder Noleen Adair sadly passed away last year.
Speaking at the movie night, Noeleen McErleane, from Pretty n Pink said: “It is absolutely wonderful to see so many ‘pink’ ladies and a few men here supporting our cause – Noleen Adair would have loved tonight.”
Embracing the famous Mean Girls mantra ‘On Wednesdays, we wear pink’, my best friend Erin and I joined local fashionistas, turning out in our finest pink fashions on Wednesday 15th October.
Jacket: Mango; Blouse: Next; Skirt: Miss Selfridge; Shoes: Office
Sadly, due to other commitments, I was unable to attend Thursday night’s catwalk show in conjunction with Excel Clothing but take a peek at my outfits for Friday and Saturday night’s catwalk shows.
Dress: Coast; Shoes: Dune; Bag: Michael Kors
This was my graduation dress from earlier in the summer, but I accessorised it differently and paired it with my favourite Dune court heels. I’m pictured here with Louise Vance of The Real Elle Woods, looking fab as always!
Jumpsuit: Oasis; Shoes: Dune; Necklace: Phase Eight
I have a total jumpsuit addiction, so it was no surprise that one of my collection made an appearance at Belfast Fashion Week. This gorgeous metallic jumpsuit from Oasis is definitely one of my favourites.
Stay tuned for some more Belfast Fashion Week posts, including a rundown of the high-street fashions and Northern Ireland’s local designers.
